Resolution 278, dated as of December 31, 2022, as amended, from Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) which, among other provisions, rules the Direct Foreign Investment registry in Brazil (IED), provides yearly and quarterly periodical statements that shall be delivered by companies having IED (Brazilian Companies). The statements shall be submitted, yearly, by Brazilian Companies that have, in the base date December 31 of the previous year, total assets equal or higher than BRL 100,000,000.00 and, quarterly, by Brazilian Companies that have, in the base dates March 31, June 30 and September 30, respectively, total assets equal or higher than R$ 300,000,000.00:

The statement is submitted online by means of BACEN’s electronic system.

The false, incomplete, inaccurate information, or the lack of timely provision of information, may subject Brazilian Companies to penalties from BACEN.
